Curtis Jones claims the ‘incredible’ former Liverpool star was actually better than Mo Salah

Liverpool fans have been lucky enough to see some incredible players in recent seasons.

With Jurgen Klopp, the Reds formed a team that conquered England, Europe and the world.

Jones has been fortunate to have broken into the Liverpool first team learning from some fantastic players.

“In terms of goals and assists, probably one of the best in the world since he came to our club for things like that,” Jones added.

However, Curtis went on to say that the fans were wrong. Instead, the midfielder supported Roberto Firmino as his former number one teammate.

“In my opinion, the best player who surprises me every day is Firmino,” he said. “Firmino is a man that if you understand the game and you are in love with it and you can score goals and assists – and I understand that they make you win games and stuff – if you really love the game and you want to see a man who really understands the game and “He puts everyone on the line, so he’s the best.”

Virgil van Dijk agrees with Curtis Jones on Firmino

This may come as a surprise to fans who voted in this particular poll, although it was revealed that they placed Firmino in third place. But for anyone paying attention, it shouldn’t have been a surprise.

In April 2024, Van Dijk also named Firmino the best player he had seen at Liverpool.

“I think Bobby Firmino has been a big figure in the success we’ve had in recent years,” the captain told Gary Lineker.

“He kept those two by his side (Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah), who are exceptional and perhaps one of the best wingers in Premier League history, he kept them together.”

The best in the world is Bobby Firmino. A Liverpool legend without a doubt.
