Jim Harbaugh disappointed ‘The Beast’ in Chargers warm-up

Jim Harbaugh disappointed ‘The Beast’ in Chargers warm-up

Before the Los Angeles Chargers took the field on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, fans got a glimpse of the fun pregame warmup between head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Justin Herbert. While it’s typical to see Harbaugh catch a few passes from Herbert to loosen the quarterback, this time, Harbaugh seemed to be having one of those days where nothing stuck. Let’s just say the coach wasn’t exactly in top shape.

After a few failed passes, Harbaugh couldn’t help but show his frustration. He nodded slightly to Herbert and shrugged, “Too bad, I stink today, but the balls come out clean. Good job, Justin.” Herbert, displaying the chemistry and quiet confidence that Chargers fans love, simply laughed and assured Harbaugh that he was fine.

Once the warm-up mistakes were behind him, Herbert turned in a stellar performance: 14 of 18 passing for 164 yards, a touchdown and a QB rating of 123.1. If those pregame slumps depressed Harbaugh, it surely didn’t show in his quarterback’s performance.

These moments are a reminder of Harbaugh’s intensity and how he’s always active, even if it’s just catching passes in warmups. That kind of competitive spirit starts at the top, and when your head coach gives it his all alongside the players, you know it’s going to be a fun ride all season long.
