Man seriously injured in fight at bar in Kerns neighborhood, suspect arrested

Portland police say a man was seriously injured in a fight at a bar in the Kerns neighborhood. Police were called shortly before midnight to a bar in the 2600 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard for a report of a stabbing. When police arrived, they found an adult man with injuries to his neck, authorities say. Police say the suspect had left the bar just before they arrived.

“Officers searching the area quickly located the suspect two blocks west of the bar, in the 2400 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard, and arrested him,” PPB said in a news release.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Police say the injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.

Abraham Bravo, 28, of Portland, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and an outstanding warrant.
