‘Paneer is mostly fat’

In a video titled “Is paneer really the best vegetarian protein option?”, Raj Ganpath talked about how paneer has more fat content than protein. He added that if paneer is their preferred protein option when ordering in or eating out, then they should reconsider its consumption. He explained: “paneer It’s like any other cheese. That means it contains some protein, yes, but it’s mostly fat. In fact, only about 25% of paneer’s calories come from protein. The rest is fat.”

He added: “So if you’re thinking, ‘Oh my God, cheese will make you fat.’ But paneer contains protein; it will make me strong’; You are wrong.”

Next, the fitness trainer explained the macronutrient profile of paneer. He said the macronutrients in paneer tikka or grilled paneer are quite similar to those in a fried chicken breast. “In fact, fried chicken breast contains more protein and fewer calories than fresh paneer,” he added. Raj further explained that he wanted to highlight these facts so that people know that although paneer is a great food choice, they should not go overboard with its consumption.

The nutritional advisor even suggested some alternatives to paneer. “Look for other options and mix them up. Tofu and tempeh are foods that contain the same amount of protein but with a much lower caloric load. And if your goal is to lose weight, you can also consider low-fat paneer options. In the long term, whether for exercise or weight loss, moderation is key. And then, everything in moderation, everything in moderation,” he explained.
