Pittsburgh Steelers get good news on key starter after injury scare

He Pittsburgh Steelers He will have defensive tackle Keeanu Benton against the Cincinnati Bengals after an injury this week. He appeared on the injury report with a hip injury on Thursday and was limited, however, Benton returned to a full player on Friday and will play.

Benton has been banged up all season. He has battled calf, knee and now hip issues while playing the most snaps of his career in recent weeks after the nose tackle. Montravio Adams suffered a meniscus tear.

Adams is practicing with the team again this week, but will not play against the Bengals. That means Benton will take the majority of the snaps at nose tackle, with Dean Lowry filling in when he needs to take a breather.

Benton hasn’t put up the explosive numbers some thought he would have in his second season, but he has played well and has become a nightmare pass rusher.
