15-year-old boy seriously injured in stabbing after fight with two teenagers on busy bus | UK News

Police are searching for two teenagers after a 15-year-old boy was seriously injured in a knife attack on a busy bus Merseyside.

Officers were called to reports that two teenagers had boarded a Stagecoach bus on Walton Hall Road at around 5.35pm yesterday, before a fight broke out between them and the boy.

The three then ran from the bus and shortly after found the boy nearby with stab wounds to his back.

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition, he said. Merseyside Police.

The force is searching for the other two men, who are described as “teenagers dressed all in black” and “face coverings.”

It is believed they ran in the direction of Queens Drive.

Officers will carry out CCTV and witness investigations as part of the early stages of the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Lynsay Armbruster said: “This was clearly a shocking incident which left a teenager in hospital with serious injuries.”

‘The incident began with an altercation on the bus involving three men. Afterwards, everyone got off the bus and shortly after, the officers were able to locate the victim nearby with serious stab wounds to his back.

“The community will be rightly concerned about this incident, but please be assured that we are taking it very seriously and are determined to find the two men involved.

‘The bus would have been occupied with other passengers, who will also be alarmed to witness what happened. If you saw anything or have any information about this incident, please get in touch.

“Likewise, if you live in the area or were passing by at the time and saw what happened before or after the altercation on the bus, please come forward.”

DCI Armbruster said there was no place in the community for knives.

“The use of knives is reckless and will not be tolerated, and can have tragic consequences, not only for the victim and their family but also for the attackers involved,” he said.

“I urge people to educate themselves and talk to their children and family about the dangers of knife crime.”
