Fuel spill on Kushaiguda-Nagaram highway in Hyderabad becomes dangerous for motorists-Telangana Today

Nearly 25 two-wheelers skidded and fell, causing minor injuries to some people. No major accidents were reported.

Hyderabad: A fuel spill, allegedly from a tanker, on the Kushaiguda-Nagaram highway on Saturday turned dangerous for several drivers, especially two-wheelers.

According to sources, the fuel tanker coming from ECIL towards Keesara, for unknown reasons, spilled some fuel on the busy road.

Though it was noticed immediately and the GHMC DRF team and local police arrived, few motorists had fallen by then.

On being alerted by motorists, the Kushaiguda police rushed to the spot, diverted traffic and spread sand and sawdust on the fuel. Normal traffic resumed later.

Kushaiguda police said the vehicle from which the fuel spilled is yet to be identified. No case was recorded.
